The immediate past governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode was mocked by some Nigerians on Twitter today when his name was missing on the President Muhammadu Buhari ministerial list sent to the senate.
A Nigerian on twitter with username, Ayemojubar wrote, ‘ I’m still expecting Ambode on VC’s (Vice-chancellor) list. The supplementary list will soon be pushed soonest’, he sarcastically mocked the former governor.
Another Twitter user, @Casidicadafi said, ‘ Since Ambode didn’t make the list, Permanent Secretary won’t pass him by”.
Bolu Adeosun wrote, ‘ So after Ambode left his busy schedule to join Buhari campaign, the local man didn’t make the list…. No we won’t take this @Mbuhari . Better don’t come to Quilox
Recall that former governor was rumoured to be considered as one nominees that would make Buhari’s cabinet until the list surfaced today. Ambode was everywhere with President Buhari during the presidential campaign abandoning the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s campaign.
It was gathered that Ambode spent heavily on the Buhari re-election hoping to get something substantially from the federal government having lost out in a bid to retain his position as governor.
