All is set for the All Progressives Congress, APC mega rally in Osogbo to rally support Gboyega Oyetola, the party candidate in the September 22 governorship election.
As at 2.12 pm, National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Minister for Works, Power and Housing Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Interior, AbdurRahman Danbazzau, Senator Olorunnibe Mamora, Niyi Adebayo, Kebbi Governor Atiku Bagudu, Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun among other notable bigwigs are seated.
Buhari is expected to arrive the arena any moment from now. He is already in Osun state.
Just arriving are the following governors: Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos), Ibikunle Amosun(Ogun), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), Ganduje (Kano), Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna)
Others are National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, SGF Mustapha Boss
2:30pm. President Muhammadu Buhari arrived the rally venue to a thunderous shout of Sai Baba by party members and chieftains.
2:38 pm :Chairman National Campaign Council for Osun Governorship Election, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
He said Osun people are eager for continuity because incumbent governor Rauf Aregbesola had performed. He said APC was prepared for free and fair, violence-free elections.

3:10 pm. Kaduna state governor Nasir El-Rufai spoke on behalf of the 13 APC governors in attendance. He said the governors will stay in Osun from Friday till after the election.
According to him, the party is proud of Aregbesola’s achievements in Osun State.
3: 17pm. The National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu flanked by former Ogun State Governor, Segun Osoba and Chief Bsi Akande said he was proud to testify to the great development of Osun.
He described Aregbesola has a man of vision who has committed so much to Education, Urban renewal and infrastructural developments.
Tinubu hailed President Muhammad’s gesture in rescuing the states in crisis especially in the areas of salary payment and education.
The state has seen tremendous progress from the last time me and Chief Bisi Akande were here.
“Mr President, we are assuring you we will work for victory at the election”, Tinubu assured.
3:27pm.. Oshiomhole, the APC National Chairman said Aregbesola has made progress and changed the face of Osun not only Osogbo.
He said governorship is not for apprentice who will be learning on the job.
“Nobody has transformed Awolowo’s legacies than Aregbesola.
” We need people with competence not apprentice. Someone who understands finance.
“Government is a serious business not for a dancer. In time like this, we need brains and people of character. Oyetola has all the qualities.
” I am convinced that children who were fed in our schools will vote Oyetola”.
3:44 pm. President Muhammadu Buhari reeled out achievements of his administration in Osun State especially roads construction.
These infrastructural projects will open up Osun and his people to the rest of the world.
He urged Osun voters to APC to continue on the path of progressive and never return to the dark days.
The president also urged the voters to perpetually keep looters who were voted out in 2015 out of government forever by rejecting them at the polls in 2019.
