Sanwo-Olu Sets To Declare On Sunday, Says ‘Tinubu Won’t Tell Me To Step Down ‘

The Lagos State governorship aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC , Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu is set to formally declare for the governorship race on Sunday stating that the national leader, Bola Tinubu as a democrat would not ask him to step down for any candidate.

Sanwo-olu who disclosed this today at press conference in Ikeja said he was motivated to offer himself to serve because he believed that he can make Lagos a better place and improve the lives of the people.

The 53years old former commissioner also dismissed  rumour that he had been prevailed on to step down for the incumbent governor Akinwunmi  stressing he is still in the race for real.

He announced that he will formally declare on Sunday 16th September at Police College Compound, Ikeja at Time 12:00pm”

“As a PROPER Lagosian, I believe we can make our Lagos a better place where we can improve the lives of our people. Our Government will be a Government that listens, listens and listens.

“I will communicate properly when we will do a formal declaration, where my people will receive me officially”

“This man, Asiwaju, is a true bred democrat, he wants democracy to work, he would allow this primaries to go on peacefully through direct primaries”

“Saying AsiwajuTinubu will call me to back down will not happen, he is a Democrat, he wants democracy to work, he is our Leader, he is the National Leader, he believes in democracy”

“I will run an inclusive Government, we will ensure that we have a participatory Government, we will always listen to our people”

“I will not be a Governor of Lagos Island or a Governor of Lagos Central, Lagos East, I will be a Governor for all.. The whole State will be my Constituency”

“Our Government will be a Government that listens more and talks less, our Govt will run an open-door policy”

“Our Official Declaration will be Sunday 16th September, Police College Compound, Ikeja, Time 12:00pm”, Sanwo –Olu said.
