The early morning rain has slowed down the commencement of the much awaited All Progressives Congress, APC National Convention in Abuja.
Meanwhile, hundreds of APC members defied the downpour to be at the Eagles Square, venue of the convention.
Three governors namely; Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi) were already seated.
Abdulrahman Dambazau (Interior), Osagie Ehanire (Minister of state, Health), Lai Mohammed (Information) and others are present as observers. Serving ministers are not delegates.
The consensus candidate for the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole arrived the venue in the company of his wife.
COMPLETE NEWS gathered that Lagos delegates who are lodged at a popular Chelsea Hotel in Abuja were about to leave the hotel to the venue after their accreditation around 1:40pm when this story was filed.
President Muhammadu Buhari who was slated to arrive by 1pm is still being expected, while his vice, Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki and House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara are yet to arrive too.
