Alfred Tom, a 17- Year Old High School student from Cross River State has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to frontally tackle massive poverty plaguing Nigerians and the high unemployment especially among the youths.
Tom whose open letter to President Buhari was laden with emotion said, “I am really happy for the outcome of the Presidential election . Our President Mohammedu Buhari as I know is God sent and would do well
to bring about a better and great Nigeria”.
He also asked Buhari to unite Nigeria and crush the dreaded Boko Haram sect.
He said, “I know we are trying our best to deal with the Boko Haram crisis but let us face the fact we have much more problems like widespread poverty, acute unemployment, sole dependency on oil as a mainstay of the nation’s economy”.
Tom also decried the high number of Nigerian children roaming the streets during school hours. “Children being cast out
like they don’t belong to the society in Nigeria”, he lamented
